The Durango Demons soccer squad scored 2 points and held the visiting Grand Junction Central Warriors to 1 in the Demons league victory on Friday.
The Demons now hold a 4-4 record. They play next when they travel to Alamosa for a non-league game on Tuesday, September 23. Durango will face a Mean Moose team coming off a 4-0 league loss to Pagosa Springs (Pagosa Springs, CO). The Mean Moose record now stands at 0-6.
The Warriors (2-4) will now prepare for their game against Fruita Monument (Fruita, CO). The Wildcats enter the 5A/4A Southwestern game with a 2-2 record. In their last game, Fruita Monument was nipped by Palisade (Palisade, CO), 1-0, in a league game.
