Texas High School Volleyball - Canyon over East Central

Fans at Friday's league contest between the Canyon Cougars (New Braunfels, TX) and the host East Central Hornets (San Antonio, TX), observed Canyon's volleyball team top East Central by a count of 3-0.

The Cougars (22-12) will now prepare for their contest against Judson (Converse, TX). The Rockets enter the 6A Region IV District 29 contest with a 11-19 record. In their last contest, Judson notched a victory over San Marcos (San Marcos, TX), 3-2, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Hornets encounter the Johnson Jaguars (Buda, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 29 battle, on Tuesday, September 23. East Central will attempt to improve on its 19-9 season record. The Jaguars go into the battle with a 27-7 record after their 3-1 league win over Clemens (Schertz, TX).
