In Friday's league challenge, the visiting Coronado Mustangs volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Lubbock Westerners.
The Mustangs (18-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Tascosa (Amarillo, TX). The Rebels come into the 5A Region I District 3 challenge with a 19-9 record. In their last challenge, Tascosa beat Palo Duro (Amarillo, TX), 3-0, in a league challenge.
Next, the Westerners meet the Plainview Bulldogs (Plainview, TX) in a 5A Region I District 3 challenge, on Tuesday, September 23. Lubbock will attempt to upgrade on its 3-24 season record. The Bulldogs come into the outing with a 9-15 record after their 3-1 league loss to Coronado (Lubbock, TX).
