Nebraska High School Volleyball - Grand Island nipped by North Platte

The North Platte Bulldogs (North Platte, NE) volleyball held off the visiting Grand Island Islanders (Grand Island, NE), 2-1 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Bulldogs now possess a 6-11 record. They play next when they host Bellevue West for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 20. North Platte will clash with a Thunderbirds team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Bennington (Bennington, NE). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 4-13.

With the loss, Grand Island drops to 5-10 on the campaign. The Islanders travel to Lincoln Southeast (Lincoln, NE) to clash with the Knights in a non-league bout on Saturday, September 20. The Knights enter the contest with a record of 10-3. Lincoln Southeast lost 3-0 in their recent league contest against Papillion-LaVista South (Papillion, NE)
