Fans at Friday's league contest between the Spring Hill Panthers (Longview, TX) and the host Kilgore Bulldogs (Kilgore, TX), observed Spring Hill's volleyball team top Kilgore by a count of 3-1.

The Panthers (26-6) will now prepare for their contest against Gilmer (Gilmer, TX). The Buckeyes enter the 4A Region II District 16 battle with a 13-12 record. In their last battle, Gilmer achieved victory over Cumberland Academy (Tyler, TX), 3-0, in a league battle.

The Bulldogs now own a 19-15 record. They put it on the line next when they host Carthage for a 4A Region II District 16 battle on Tuesday, September 23. Kilgore will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 3-2 league loss to Pine Tree (Longview, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 13-16.
