In Friday's non-league test, the host Pleasant Grove Hawks volleyball squad scored a 3-0 win over the Marshall Mavericks.

With the win, Pleasant Grove improves its record to 17-10 on the season. The Hawks travel to Paris (Paris, TX) to face the Wildcats in a 4A Region II District 14 test on Tuesday, September 23. The Wildcats go into the test with a record of 15-17. Paris won 3-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Ford (Quinlan, TX)

Next, the Mavericks meet the Lufkin Panthers (Lufkin, TX) in a 5A Region II District 10 challenge, on Tuesday, September 23. Marshall will attempt to upgrade on its 20-11 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 26-7 record after their 3-0 league win over Tyler (Tyler, TX).
