Fans at Friday's league contest between the Uvalde Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) (Uvalde, TX) and the host Pearsall Mavericks (Pearsall, TX), witnessed Uvalde's volleyball team overcome Pearsall by a tally of 3-0.

The Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) (7-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Floresville (Floresville, TX). The Tigers/Jaguars come into the 4A Region IV District 27 challenge with a 22-13 record. In their last challenge, Floresville was beaten by Davenport (San Antonio, TX), 3-0, in a non-league test.

The Mavericks now sport a 3-16 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Carrizo Springs for a 4A Region IV District 27 test on Tuesday, September 23. Pearsall will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 3-2 league win over Somerset (Somerset, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 8-11.
