Alabama High School Football - Wicksburg defeats Zion Chapel

September 2, 2022: Newton, AL 36352

In Friday's league test, the host Wicksburg Panthers football team scored a nice 42-12 win over the Zion Chapel Rebels.

With the win, Wicksburg improves its record to 1-2 on the season. The Panthers travel to Cottonwood (Cottonwood, AL) to confront the Bears in a 2A Region 2 test on Friday, September 9. The Bears go into the test with a record of 1-1. Cottonwood won 40-20 in their recent league test against Abbeville (Abbeville, AL)

With the loss, Zion Chapel moves to 0-3 on the season. The Rebels travel to Samson (Samson, AL) to confront the Tigers in a 2A Region 2 test on Friday, September 9. The Tigers go into the test with a record of 0-2. Samson lost 42-7 in their recent league test against Long (Skipperville, AL)
