The Valley Vikings softball team scored 16 runs and limited the visiting Jefferson Saints to 4 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Valley improves its record to 3-5 on the year. The Vikings host Wellington (Wellington, CO) to clash with the Eagles in a 3A/4A Patriot game on Tuesday, September 6. The Eagles come into the game with a record of 3-3. Wellington lost 18-0 in their recent league game against Sterling (Sterling, CO)

In their next game, the Saints clash with the Arvada Bulldogs (Arvada, CO) in a 3A Frontier game, on Tuesday, September 6. Jefferson will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record. The Bulldogs come into the game with a 2-5 record after their 14-4 league win over Centaurus (Lafayette, CO).
