Texas High School Volleyball - Grulla routed by Cigarroa

The Grulla Gators volleyball team (Rio Grande City, TX), went down 3-0 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Cigarroa Toros (Laredo, TX)

The Toros (4-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Mission Veterans Memorial (Mission, TX). The Patriots enter the 5A Region IV District 30 challenge with a 18-5 record. In their last challenge, Mission Veterans Memorial defeated San Benito (San Benito, TX), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Gators encounter the Hidalgo Pirates (Hidalgo, TX) in a 4A Region IV District 32 challenge, on Saturday, September 10. Grulla will attempt to move on its 8-10 season record. The Pirates enter the challenge with a 1-9 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Palmview (La Joya, TX).
