Sabine Cardinals (Gladewater, TX) supporters left the game in high spirits Friday as they observed their volleyball squad hold off the host Gilmer Buckeyes (Gilmer, TX), 2-1 in a non-league match.

Next up, the Cardinals clash with the North Lamar Panthers (Paris, TX) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 2. Sabine will attempt to advance on its 4-7 season record.

With the loss, Gilmer drops to 9-14 on the campaign. The Buckeyes travel to Harmony (Big Sandy, TX) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league match on Friday, September 2. The Eagles come into the match with a record of 12-2. Harmony lost 3-1 in their recent non-league match against Arp (Arp, TX)
