Next up, the Lobos face the Hallsville Bobcats (Hallsville, TX) in a 5A Region II District 15 contest, on Friday, September 9. Longview will attempt to better on its 5-8 season record.

With the loss, Lufkin moves to 22-12 on the year. The Panthers host Whitehouse (Whitehouse, TX) to face the Wildcats in a non-league contest on Tuesday, September 6. The Wildcats go into the contest with a record of 12-9. Whitehouse won 2-1 in their recent non-league contest against Bullard (Bullard, TX)
