The Ka'u Trojans football team (Pahala, HI), was beaten 23-8 in Saturday's league challenge with the visiting Hawaii Prep Ka Makani (Kamuela, HI)

The Ka Makani (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Kohala (Kapaau, HI). The Cowboys come into the Big Island II challenge with a 0-3 record. In their last challenge, Kohala was beaten by Honoka'a (Honoka'a, HI), 40-7, in a league challenge.

The Trojans now sport a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Kamehameha Hawai'i for a Big Island II challenge on Wednesday, September 6. Ka'u will meet a Warriors team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Pahoa (Pahoa, HI). The Warriors record now stands at 4-0.
