The Kennedy Cougars held off the visiting Davenport North Wildcats volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Cougars now have a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Linn-Mar for a Mississippi Valley - Valley test on Saturday, September 2. Kennedy will confront a Lions team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to West Delaware (Manchester, IA). The Lions record now stands at 3-1.

The Wildcats (4-7) will now prepare for their test against Linn-Mar (Marion, IA). The Lions enter the non-league test with a 3-1 record. In their last test, Linn-Mar was nudged by West Delaware (Manchester, IA), 2-0, in a non-league test.
