The Monticello Panthers topped the visiting North Cedar Knights volleyball team by a score of 2-0 in Saturday's league test.

The Panthers now have a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cascade for a River Valley North test on Saturday, September 2. Monticello will confront a Cougars team coming off a 2-0 league loss to Anamosa (Anamosa, IA). The Cougars record now stands at 4-2.

The Knights (4-4) will now prepare for their test against Central City (Central City, IA). The Wildcats enter the non-league test with a 2-3 record. In their last test, Central City gained a win over Calamus-Wheatland (Wheatland, IA), 3-1, in a league test.
