Illinois High School Volleyball - Princeton edged by Newman Central Catholic

The Newman Central Catholic Comets held off the visiting Princeton Tigers volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Comets now have a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mercer County for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 5. Newman Central Catholic will confront a Golden Eagles team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Kewanee (Kewanee, IL). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 2-5.

The Tigers (8-5) will now prepare for their test against Kewanee (Kewanee, IL). The Boilermakers enter the Three Rivers test with a 4-5 record. In their last test, Kewanee held off Mercer County (Aledo, IL), 2-1, in a non-league test.
