The Jones Longhorns softball team scored 12 runs and held the visiting Crooked Oak Ruf-Nex to 2 in the Longhorns league win on Monday.

The Longhorns now possess a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lexington for a 3A battle on Tuesday, September 3. Jones will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 4-3 non-league loss to Heritage Hall (Oklahoma City, OK). The Bulldogs record now stands at 6-3.

In their next game, the Ruf-Nex battle the Meeker Bulldogs (Meeker, OK) in a 3A bout, on Thursday, September 5. Crooked Oak will attempt to better on its 4-12 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 4-10 record after their 12-0 non-league loss to Hennessey (Hennessey, OK).
