The Crestwood Comets soccer squad scored 8 points and held the host Pittston Patriots to 0 in the Comets league victory on Tuesday.
The Comets now hold a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Berwick for a Wyoming Valley 1 bout on Friday, September 5. Crestwood will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 4-2 league loss to Wilkes-Barre (Wilkes-Barre, PA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-4.
The Patriots (1-4) will now prepare for their game against Dallas (Dallas, PA). The Mountaineers come into the Wyoming Valley 1 game with a 4-1 record. In their last game, Dallas defeated Wyoming Valley West (Plymouth, PA), 4-0, in a league game.
