Fans at Tuesday's non-league battle between the New Bern Bears (New Bern, NC) and the host North Lenoir Hawks (LaGrange, NC), saw New Bern's soccer squad knock off North Lenoir by a count of 3-0.

The Bears (1-1) will now prepare for their battle against Croatan (Newport, NC). The Cougars come into the non-league match with a 2-4 record. In their last match, Croatan by Topsail (Hampstead, NC), 3-2, in a non-league match.

The Hawks now sport a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Clinton for a non-league match on Monday, September 8. North Lenoir will meet a Dark Horses team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Wallace-Rose Hill (Teachey, NC). The Dark Horses record now stands at 4-1.
