North Surry Greyhounds (Mount Airy, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Mount Tabor Spartans (Winston-Salem, NC), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Greyhounds (4-4) will now prepare for their challenge against West Davidson (Lexington, NC). The Dragons come into the non-league test with a 3-4 record. In their last test, West Davidson gained a win over Glenn (Kernersville, NC), 2-0, in a non-league test.
The Spartans now have a 4-5 record. They play next when they travel to Reagan for a non-league outing on Wednesday, September 3. Mount Tabor will play a Raiders team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Davie County (Mocksville, NC). The Raiders record now stands at 3-1.
