With the triumph, Highland Tech advances its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Rams host Cherryville (Cherryville, NC) to play the Ironmen in a Southern Piedmont 2A/3A/4A outing on Wednesday, September 3. The Ironmen go into the outing with a record of 0-5. Cherryville lost 4-0 in their recent league outing against East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC)

Next up, the Yellow Jackets play the Stuart W. Cramer Storm (Belmont, NC) in a Southern Piedmont 2A/3A/4A outing, on Wednesday, September 3. Bessemer City will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record. The Storm go into the outing with a 0-8 record after their 4-0 league loss to West Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC).
