The Nicholas County Grizzlies soccer squad scored 4 points and held the visiting Midland Trail Patriots to 1 in the Grizzlies non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Grizzlies now possess a 3-2 record. They play next when they host Roane County for a non-league bout on Thursday, September 4. Nicholas County will play a Raiders squad coming off a 10-0 non-league loss to Braxton County (Sutton, WV). The Raiders record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Midland Trail moves to 2-4 on the year. The Patriots host Sherman (Seth, WV) to play the Tide in a Coalfield AA bout on Thursday, September 4. The Tide go into the bout with a record of 2-0. Sherman won 6-0 in their recent non-league bout against Roane County (Spencer, WV)
