The Yellow Jackets (8-4) will now prepare for their bout against Richmond Hill (Richmond Hill, GA). The Wildcats go into the non-league bout with a 5-2 record. In their last bout, Richmond Hill tipped Colquitt County (Norman Park, GA), 2-1, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Pirates clash with the Crisp County Cougars (Cordele, GA) in a 2A Region 3 bout, on Thursday, September 4. Appling County will attempt to advance on its 4-3 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 3-5 record after their 8-0 league loss to Tattnall County (Reidsville, GA).
