In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Chillicothe Hornets (Chillicothe, MO) softball team nipped the visiting Mid-Buchanan Dragons (Faucett, MO), by a margin of 3-2.
The Hornets now have a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Lawson for a non-league test on Thursday, September 4.
The Dragons (2-1) will now prepare for their test against St. Pius X (Kansas City, MO). The Warriors go into the non-league test with a 0-0 record.
