With the triumph, Irwin County improves its record to 8-2 on the year. The Indians host Charlton County (Folkston, GA) to face the Indians in a 1A D-II Region 2 contest on Thursday, September 4. The Indians go into the match with a record of 9-5. Charlton County won 15-0 in their recent non-league match against McIntosh County Academy (Darien, GA)

In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Cairo Syrupmakers (Cairo, GA) in a non-league match, on Monday, September 8. Valdosta will attempt to better on its 3-8 season record. The Syrupmakers go into the match with a 6-6 record after their 10-0 league win over Dougherty (Albany, GA).
