Kearney Catholic Stars (Kearney, NE) backers left the game pleased Tuesday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, NE), 17-0 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Kearney Catholic upgrades its record to 6-0 on the year. The Stars travel to Twin River (Genoa, NE) to confront the Titans in a C District battle on Thursday, September 4. The Titans come into the challenge with a record of 4-4.

The Minutemen (0-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Gothenburg (Gothenburg, NE). The Swedes enter the non-league challenge with a 3-5 record. In their last challenge, Gothenburg was routed by Ord (Ord, NE), 17-9, in a non-league challenge.
