North Carolina High School Volleyball - Alleghany can't get by West Wilkes

The West Wilkes Blackhawks edged the visiting Alleghany Trojans volleyball squad by a final score of 3-2 in Tuesday's league game.

Next up, the Blackhawks confront the Starmount Rams (Boonville, NC) in a Mountain Valley 2A/3A/4A game, on Thursday, September 4. West Wilkes will attempt to advance on its 2-4 season record. The Rams go into the game with a 7-2 record after their 3-2 non-league win over Forbush (East Bend, NC).

The Trojans (1-6) will now prepare for their game against Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC). The Granite Bears go into the non-league game with a 5-4 record. In their last game, Mount Airy nipped West Stokes (King, NC), 3-0, in a league outing.
