Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Amarillo Sandies (Amarillo, TX) and the visiting Plainview Bulldogs (Plainview, TX), observed Amarillo's volleyball team top Plainview by a count of 3-0.

The Sandies (16-8) will now prepare for their contest against Lubbock (Lubbock, TX). The Westerners enter the 5A Region I District 3 contest with a 3-17 record.

In their next game, the Bulldogs encounter the Lubbock-Cooper Pirates (Lubbock, TX) in a 5A Region I District 3 battle, on Saturday, September 6. Plainview will attempt to improve on its 9-13 season record. The Pirates go into the battle with a 13-8 record after their 3-2 league loss to Coronado (Lubbock, TX).
