Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Apex Cougars (Apex, NC) and the host Apex Friendship Patriots (Apex, NC), observed Apex's volleyball team top Apex Friendship by a count of 3-0.

The Cougars (8-1) will now prepare for their contest against Willow Spring (Fuquay-Varina, NC). The Storm enter the Quad City Seven 8A contest with a 2-7 record.

Next, the Patriots battle the Green Level Gators (Cary, NC) in a Quad City Seven 8A contest, on Thursday, September 4. Apex Friendship will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Gators enter the contest with a 7-0 record after their 3-0 league win over Willow Spring (Fuquay-Varina, NC).
