In Tuesday's league challenge, the host Northland Vikings volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Beechcroft Cougars.

The Vikings (5-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Marion-Franklin (Columbus, OH). The Red Devils come into the non-league challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last test, Marion-Franklin was edged by Briggs (Columbus, OH), 3-0, in a league test.

The Cougars now sport a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Linden-McKinley for a Columbus City - North test on Thursday, September 4. Beechcroft will face a Panthers squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Centennial (Columbus, OH). The Panthers record now stands at 0-3.
