North Carolina High School Volleyball - Burns over Cherryville

The Burns Bulldogs volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the host Cherryville Ironmen to 0 in the Bulldogs league triumph on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs now possess a 7-0 record. They play next when they travel to Bessemer City for a Southern Piedmont 2A/3A/4A outing on Thursday, September 4. Burns will confront a Yellow Jackets squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Stuart W. Cramer (Belmont, NC). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 3-4.

The Ironmen (3-4) will now prepare for their game against Shelby (Shelby, NC). The Golden Lions enter the Southern Piedmont 2A/3A/4A game with a 0-5 record. In their last game, Shelby was dropped by East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC), 3-0, in a league game.
