The Independence Patriots volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting Chambers Cougars to 0 in the Patriots league triumph on Tuesday.
The Patriots now have a 5-1 record. They play next when they host Mallard Creek for a Meck Power Six 7A/8A outing on Thursday, September 4. Independence will play a Mavericks team coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Mooresville (Mooresville, NC). The Mavericks record now stands at 0-13.
With the loss, Chambers drops to 3-4 on the campaign. The Cougars host Jackson Day (Charlotte, NC) to play the Mariners in a non-league outing on Wednesday, September 3. The Mariners come into the outing with a record of 7-2. Jackson Day won 3-0 in their recent league outing against Carolina International (Concord, NC)
