The Union County Patriots volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the host Claiborne Bulldogs to 2 in the Patriots league triumph on Tuesday.

The Patriots now have a 1-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Volunteer for a AA District 2 game on Thursday, September 4. Union County will face a Falcons squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Grainger (Rutledge, TN). The Falcons record now stands at 6-1.

The Bulldogs (2-2) will now prepare for their game against Cherokee (Rogersville, TN). The Chiefs go into the AA District 2 game with a 5-1 record. In their last game, Cherokee nudged North Greene (Greeneville, TN), 3-1, in a non-league game.
