The Sparta Spartans volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the visiting Covenant Christian Chargers to 1 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Spartans now have a 4-0 record. They play next when they travel to Coopersville for a River Cities Alliance outing on Tuesday, September 9. Sparta will confront a Broncos squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Montague (Montague, MI). The Broncos record now stands at 4-8.

The Chargers (4-4) will now prepare for their game against Calvin Christian (Grandville, MI). The Squires go into the non-league game with a 1-3 record. In their last game, Calvin Christian nudged Comstock Park (Comstock Park, MI), 3-0, in a league game.
