In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the host Custer Wildcats volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Douglas Patriots.
The Wildcats (7-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Newell (Newell, SD). The Irrigators come into the non-league challenge with a 1-3 record. In their last challenge, Newell was beaten by Lead-Deadwood (Lead, SD), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Patriots meet the Pierre T.F. Riggs Governors (Pierre, SD) in a AA District 1 challenge, on Thursday, September 4. Douglas will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record. The Governors come into the challenge with a 0-3 record after their 3-2 league loss to Rapid City Central (Rapid City, SD).
