In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the visiting Radford Bobcats volleyball team scored a 3-1 victory over the Giles Spartans.

The Bobcats (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Blacksburg (Blacksburg, VA). The Bruins enter the non-league challenge with a 1-3 record. In their last challenge, Blacksburg was beaten by Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA), 3-2, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Spartans meet the Galax Maroon Tide (Galax, VA) in a Mountain Empire challenge, on Thursday, September 4. Giles will attempt to improve on its 2-1 season record. The Maroon Tide go into the test with a 1-2 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Graham (Bluefield, VA).
