Connecticut High School Volleyball - Mercy edged by Hand

Hand Tigers (Madison, CT) boosters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the host Mercy Tigers (Middletown, CT), 3-2 in a league test.

With the win, Hand improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Tigers travel to Branford (Branford, CT) to face the Hornets in a Southern Connecticut - Hammonasset test on Monday, September 8. The Hornets go into the test with a record of 0-2.

The Tigers now own a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Shelton for a Southern Connecticut - Hammonasset challenge on Thursday, September 4. Mercy will meet a Gaels team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Guilford (Guilford, CT). The Gaels record now stands at 0-1.
