In Tuesday's league challenge, the visiting Johnston City Indians volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Zeigler-Royalton Tornadoes.

The Indians (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Herrin (Herrin, IL). The Tigers enter the non-league challenge with a 1-4 record. In their last challenge, Herrin was tipped by Frankfort (West Frankfort, IL), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Tornadoes now own a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Shawnee for a non-league test on Wednesday, September 3. Zeigler-Royalton will face a Redskins squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Pope County (Golconda, IL). The Redskins record now stands at 4-3.
