Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the North Pike Jaguars (Summit, MS) and the host Laurel Golden Tornadoes (Laurel, MS), observed North Pike's volleyball team top Laurel by a count of 3-0.

The Jaguars (7-4) will now prepare for their battle against Sumrall (Sumrall, MS). The Bobcats go into the Class 5A Region 3 battle with a 12-4 record. In their last battle, Sumrall achieved victory over Jefferson Davis County (Bassfield, MS), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

The Golden Tornadoes now own a 1-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Natchez for a Class 5A Region 3 test on Tuesday, September 9. Laurel will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Jefferson County (Fayette, MS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-7.
