The Mize Bulldogs (Mize, MS) volleyball held off the host Raleigh Lions (Raleigh, MS), 3-2 in Tuesday's non-league contest.
The Bulldogs (6-3) will now prepare for their contest against Clarkdale (Meridian, MS). The Bulldogs enter the Class 2A Region 6 contest with a 6-4 record.
Next, the Lions battle the Jefferson Davis County Jaguars (Bassfield, MS) in a Class 3A Region 6 contest, on Thursday, September 4. Raleigh will attempt to move on its 3-6 season record. The Jaguars enter the contest with a 1-6 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Sumrall (Sumrall, MS).
