Mississippi High School Volleyball - New Hope can't hold off Pontotoc

In Tuesday's league match, the Pontotoc Warriors (Pontotoc, MS) volleyball squad tipped the visiting New Hope Trojans (Columbus, MS), by a count of 3-2.
Next up, the Warriors confront the Caledonia Cavaliers (Caledonia, MS) in a Class 5A Region 1 match, on Thursday, September 4. Pontotoc will attempt to move on its 7-6 season record. The Cavaliers enter the match with a 12-7 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Lafayette (Oxford, MS).
The Trojans (3-12) will now prepare for their bout against Columbus (Columbus, MS). The Falcons come into the Class 5A Region 1 bout with a 2-8 record. In their last bout, Columbus nipped West Point (West Point, MS), 3-1, in a league bout.
