Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Royalton Royals (Royalton, MN) and the host Pierz Pioneers (Pierz, MN), observed Royalton's volleyball team top Pierz by a tally of 3-0.

The Royals (5-1) will now prepare for their test against Maple Lake (Maple Lake, MN). The Irish go into the Central Minnesota test with a 2-3 record. In their last test, Maple Lake achieved victory over Braham (Braham, MN), 3-2, in a non-league test.

The Pioneers now own a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Milaca for a Granite Ridge test on Thursday, September 4. Pierz will face a Wolves squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Pequot Lakes (Pequot Lakes, MN). The Wolves record now stands at 5-2.
