Webster County Highlanders (Upper Glade, WV) backers were pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Richwood Lumberjacks (Richwood, WV), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Highlanders (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Greenbrier West (Charmco, WV). The Cavaliers come into the non-league challenge with a 2-1 record.

Next, the Lumberjacks meet the Meadow Bridge Wildcats (Meadow Bridge, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 4. Richwood will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Maranatha Christian Academy (Princeton, WV).
