The South Pike Eagles volleyball squad (Magnolia, MS), was defeated 3-0 in Tuesday's non-league challenge with the visiting Salem Wildcats (Tylertown, MS)

The Wildcats (10-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Taylorsville (Taylorsville, MS). The Tartars enter the Class 1A Region 7 challenge with a 0-5 record. In their last challenge, Taylorsville was beaten by Mississippi School for the Deaf (Jackson, MS), 3-2, in a league challenge.

Next, the Eagles meet the Lawrence County Cougars (Monticello, MS) in a Class 4A Region 7 challenge, on Thursday, September 4. South Pike will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Cougars enter the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 3-2 league win over Columbia (Columbia, MS).
