Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Seymour Warriors (Seymour, IA) and the visiting Twin Cedars Sabers (Bussey, IA), observed Seymour's volleyball team hold off Twin Cedars by a count of 2-1.

The Warriors (1-8) will now prepare for their contest against Mormon Trail (Garden Grove, IA). The Saints enter the Bluegrass contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Mormon Trail was tipped by Melcher-Dallas (Melcher, IA), 3-2, in a non-league test.

The Sabers now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they host Martensdale-St. Mary's for a non-league challenge on Thursday, September 4. Twin Cedars will play a Blue Devils team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Colo-NESCO (Colo, IA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 2-0.
