St. George's Athletes (Milner, GA) boosters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their volleyball team overcome the host Skipstone Academy Warriors (Griffin, GA), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Athletes (3-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Oak Mountain Academy (Carrollton, GA). The Warriors enter the GIAA 5AA challenge with a 4-10 record. In their last challenge, Oak Mountain Academy achieved victory over Covenant Academy (Macon, GA), 3-0, in a league test.

The Warriors now own a 1-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rock Springs Christian Academy for a GAPPS DI-AAA Region 4 test on Thursday, September 4. Skipstone Academy will face a Eagles squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Trinity Christian School of Griffin (Griffin, GA). The Eagles record now stands at 8-5.
