Illinois High School Volleyball - Alleman edged by Sterling

The Sterling Golden Warriors held off the host Alleman Pioneers volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Tuesday's league test.
The Golden Warriors now have a 6-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Geneseo for a Western Big 6 test on Thursday, September 22. Sterling will confront a Maple Leafs team coming off a 2-0 league loss to Rock Island (Rock Island, IL). The Maple Leafs record now stands at 8-8.
The Pioneers (3-9) will now prepare for their test against Galesburg (Galesburg, IL). The Silver Streaks enter the Western Big 6 test with a 6-9 record. In their last test, Galesburg was nudged by Moline (Moline, IL), 2-0, in a league test.
