The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Challenger Firebirds (Hickory, NC) and the host Nebo Crossing Academy Bulldogs (Nebo, NC), saw Challenger's volleyball squad nip Nebo Crossing Academy by a tally of 3-2.

With the win, Challenger upgrades its record to 6-3 on the year. The Firebirds host Veritas Christian Academy (Arden, NC) to play the Warriors in a Western Piedmont Athletic bout on Friday, September 23. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 11-0. Veritas Christian Academy won 3-0 in their recent league bout against Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy (Asheville, NC)

The Bulldogs now own a 7-4 record. They play next when they host Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy for a Western Piedmont Athletic bout on Monday, October 10. Nebo Crossing Academy will play a Eagles squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Veritas Christian Academy (Arden, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 2-5.
