The East Wake Warriors volleyball team (Wendell, NC), was dropped 3-0 in Tuesday's league challenge with the host Smithfield-Selma Spartans (Smithfield, NC)

The Spartans (5-9) will now prepare for their challenge against South Johnston (Four Oaks, NC). The Trojans enter the Quad County 3A challenge with a 7-6 record. In their last challenge, South Johnston was dropped by West Johnston (Benson, NC), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Warriors meet the Southern Wayne Saints (Dudley, NC) in a Quad County 3A challenge, on Thursday, September 22. East Wake will attempt to move on its 2-12 season record. The Saints enter the challenge with a 6-5 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Kinston (Kinston, NC).
