In Tuesday's league battle, the host Johnson County Longhorns volleyball team scored a tight 3-2 triumph over the Unicoi County Blue Devils.

The Longhorns (2-12) will now prepare for their battle against Elizabethton (Elizabethton, TN). The Fighting Cyclones come into the AA District 1 battle with a 7-13 record. In their last battle, Elizabethton was edged by Volunteer (Church Hill, TN), 3-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Blue Devils encounter the Tennessee Vikings (Bristol, TN) in a AA District 1 battle, on Thursday, September 22. Unicoi County will attempt to advance on its 1-11 season record. The Vikings come into the battle with a 19-4 record after their 3-0 league win over Sullivan East (Bluff City, TN).
